About an hour before Switchfoot hit the stage in Ocean City, New Jersey on May 1st, they first heard the news that "This is Home" is going to be performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on May 13th. While announcing the song during their set, Jon Foreman told the crowd this "hot off the press" news.

"This is Home" was written for the upcoming Disney movie Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. A video for "This is Home" premiered on May 2nd on the Disney website. Jon Foreman shared the following on Switchfoot's website:

"I wanted to capture the longing that is embedded in much of Lewis' writing, so I tried to think back to what those stories meant to me when I was six years old and write from that perspective. The song that came out is 'This is Home'. It's been quite a journey: a San Diego song with strings cut at Abbey Road in London complete with a video shot in Hollywood."

Switchfoot has included the song on the "Up in Arms" tour, scheduled to end in Rochester, New York on Sunday May 4th. For those wanting more new Switchfoot music, try Jon Foreman's solo EP's. Three of four seasonal themed albums have been released online to date. Otherwise, you will have to wait until the end of this year, or perhaps next year.
